Catedral is more. This has been the constant motto of Cerro Catedral and was the thinking behind Catedral Alta Patagonia when it undertook the challenge of carrying out the largest modernisation plan in its 70-year history - to become the leading centre of mountain activities in South America.

Today, Cerro Catedral renews its commitment to quality and invites all sports lovers to live winter more intensely.

Snow hounds everywhere will love this enormous mountain, with more than 120 km of slopes arranged in more than 50 tracks. Enjoyment, that´s the aim and the alternatives are endless. The hill has more more landscapes, more alternatives than any other and its 600 acres of forests, canyons and off-piste zones will thrill free ride skiers and snowboarders from across the globe.

Catedral has embraced technology with the development of its online ski pass and the use of a KeyCard with a radio-frequency chip that allows users to easily and conveniently activate the turnstiles of its 38 ski lifts.

The new Terrain Park will allow thrill seekers to practise tricks and try out somersaults and jumps before putting them to the test in the off-piste areas. With its jumps, big air and many obstacles (boxes and rails), the Terrain Park has a section for beginners with a small jump, 2 rails and 1 pvc barrel, an intermediate zone with a medium jump, house rail and pvc barrel, and an advanced zone equipped with a 4-meter box, an 8-meter S-rail and a multiple module with rails, boxes and stairways - a great attraction in winter 2008.

Every season, leading events, including the Rip Curl Winter Search, Reef Boardercross and Girls Only will be held here.

There will be more and better pistes thanks to six new grooming machines: four Kassbohrer and two Laitners with winch. These, in addition to the existent equipment, will produce better technical conditions and allow the enjoyment of more of the different spectacular sectors of the mountain.

And there´ll be more fun, for all ages, with the new Toboggan Run. A great course through the snowy slopes that starts in Conexión, in the superior station of Princesa skilift, with a new intermediate station to go up immediately and continue playing. And the thrills continue! A new trail of Snow Tubing, using huge rubber wheels, will take your breath away as you experience a fantastic descent.

Everywhere in Cerro Catedral there are places to relax and recover - and just chill out in one of 18 mountain restaurants.
